Published by Salvador Briggman. Find him on Twitter.

You’re about to listen to a historic interview! Today, I spoke with a crowdfunding wizard, who has raised $7.3 million on Indiegogo with two campaigns, and $1.3 million on Kickstarter.

storm-sondersThis is Storm Sondors, the creator of the award-winning SONDORS eBike. Storm is a specialist in design and manufacturing who has launched several multi-million dollar crowdfunding campaigns.

In our conversation, he reveals the exact strategy he used going into his first record breaking Indiegogo campaign and just why it was SO successful. Also, he shares the details of his pre-launch plan, including how big an email list you should have before you launch.

After these massive crowdfunding successes, Storm decided to launch an equity crowdfunding campaign on Start Engine for his latest product, the SONDORS Electric Car. The cool thing about this new campaign is that you can actually own equity in his latest company. But, you better act fast. The campaign has already raised $583,944 and closes to new investors at $1 million.

Hey, Sal. Your blog and videos have been really helpful. I actually signed up for KickStarter and started working on my campaign two years ago, and finally launched today.

QUESTION: I’m pretty much planning to re-launch. What are your thoughts on that as an actually strategy to build an audience?

Your blog post http://www.crowdcrux.com/how-to-successfully-relaunch-your-failed-kickstarter-campaign/ was very interesting to me when it first was published, and helped me prepare psychologically/strategically for turning a possible failure into a success.

But now it’s even more interesting considering the unexpected “epilogue” that I just read about today. Wow. It makes me glad that mine isn’t new technology, but just a simple, old-fashioned book.

Thx for all your awesome work!

I wouldn’t view re-launching as a primary way to build an audience, unless your new product is innovative and stands out on Kickstarter/Gogo. However, I think that a re-launch is a motivator for the creator to start doing the things necessary to build an audience.
